Are you looking for a meaningful way to show your gratitude to the teacher who spent the extra time, the administrator who went the extra mile, or the support staff member who encouraged and inspired your child?  Take part in the Newton Schools Foundation’s 12th annual ‘Honor Thy Teacher’ campaign

The Newton Schools Foundation, a non-profit fundraising organization to support public education in Newton, is currently funding individual teacher grants. For the next three years, we will be supporting the Newton Public School strategic plan to create the 21st Century Classroom. Our goal is to impact each child’s education by giving teachers the technology, skills and tools for 21st Century teaching and learning.

Each spring families are invited to pause and think about school personnel who have made a difference in their child’s life.  Honor that special teacher or educator by making a donation to the Newton Schools Foundation.

“Honor Thy Teacher” celebrates our teachers in four ways:

  1. Honored teachers receive a card of thanks in the donor’s name.
  2. Our children and the community see his or her honored teacher celebrated in the annual “Honor Thy Teacher” spread in the Newton Tab, usually in October.
  3. Principals and the Superintendent are notified of all honorees.
  4. Your donation directly supports our teachers’ innovative programming through Foundation grants in the Newton Public Schools.

Make your Honor Thy Teacher donation in any of the following ways:
