| How to Apply
for a Newton Schools Foundation Grant
Grant Proposal Guidelines Proposals are encouraged that demonstrate innovation, are collaborative, have a potentially broad impact upon the school system and support the goals and on-going priorities of the Newton Public Schools. Equal consideration is given to proposals that are designed for an individual classroom or program. All proposals should promote rigor, provide challenge for all students and enrich students’ growth. Grant awards may only be used between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009 The next cycle of grants is for the school year 2009-2010. Please note that funding received for this cycle will only be able to be used between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010. Grant Proposal Guidelines for 2009-2010 will be posted by September 15. Flexi Grant Program The Flexi Grant Program is designed to provide lower levels of funding for quality improvement projects in the Newton Public Schools that are time sensitive and cannot be accommodated through the Newton Schools Foundation competitive grants process. Often these grants can be seen as seed projects offering a target of opportunity for teachers or administrators to try something new on a small scale; in other cases the program may meet a critical or emergency need in the system. On directions how to apply for a flexi grant, please read the flexi grant program guidelines, which can be accessed by clicking on the link below. These can be printed for your use.
