The mission of the Newton Schools Foundation is to enhance and broaden community support for public education and to provide private funding for enhancement, innovation and challenging programs across a student’s K – 12 experiences in the Newton Public Schools.
This private, 501(c)(3) non-profit community foundation is governed by a Board of Directors which represents community and business leaders, parents and teachers and school administration experience.
21st Century Classroom
The City of Newton faces challenging times in all departments. In the face of financial adversity with the schools, the Foundation has determined the need to create a finer focus through the selection of an umbrella theme to guide foundation activities. The Foundation's theme is to support skills, technology and tools for 21st century teaching and learning.
